Red Truck Films Produces ACC-Inspired Campaign for Triad United Way

RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 23, 2008) – United Way of Greater Greensboro has a mission – to improve lives by mobilizing and uniting the caring power of the community. Red Truck Films teamed up with Trone to produce a campaign to support this mission and to raise United Way’s awareness.

The series of three spots targets potential volunteers and donors throughout North Carolina, asking them to “Give,” “Advocate” and “Volunteer.” Featuring the ACC mascots of Duke University, North Carolina State University, Wake Forest University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the spots begin with a heartfelt message about the rewards of giving back to the community. They quickly change pace when the United Way supporter is doused with a cooler full of water – ACC game style – and the mascots cheer them on for being a champion in the community. The campaign creative team was led by Martin Buchanan, executive creative director at Trone. Red Truck Films’ executive producer, Cathy Wilson; director, Garye Costner; and DP, Sam Griffin, were brought in to shoot the spots in HD. The editor was Scott Roy of Serious Robots, and Aaron Keane of Blazing Music+Sound composed original music and provided sound design. Ellen Huffman art directed the campaign, and Josh Fahey was the copy writer.

With a roster of award-winning directors based throughout the country, Red Truck Films, represented by Trailblazer Studios, produces spot work and non-traditional content, on location anywhere or on one of its two sound stages. Serious Robots, one of the Southeast’s top post production companies, provides editorial, design and finishing to companies in the commercial and broadcast industries.
